These are a set of waist/ upper leg armor commonly known as battle skirts, historically known as faulds,
Each set it made out of 6 lames made out of 3.75" wide 8-10 ounce latigo cowhide.
The faulds consist of two longer sets of lames that cover your sides, and 2 shorter sets of 4 lames for the front and back center, giving you full 360 degree coverage. The faulds are worn by lacing them through a series of integrated belt loops on each piece.
The lames overlap in such a way that there is 2 layers of leather throughout the majority of the armor.
As with our other armor pieces, you have the option of having these hardened with wax, which makes them much more suitable as protection for HEMA, SCA, Larp etc.
You also have the option of having a simple belt included with your faulds, as a belt of some kind is necessary to wear them.
Be advised that waxing the leather will darken the color considerably. Dark brown will look black, light brown will look dark brown, etc.
14" is the standard length for the sizes, if you'd like a pair made longer or shorter, feel free to message me to see what options are available.

Why so expensive?
Our items are all made by hand. We do not mass produce anything, and every item has been designed, tested, and created by us. A lot of time and effort has gone into every item we offer, and we do our best to make sure that everything that leaves our shop lives up to our standards and hopefully yours.
Can you make a sheath for a knife other than the ones offered here?
We only offer a few different sheath options, but we operate out of a large brick & mortar cutlery store, so there's a chance we have the knife you're looking for. Contact us to set up a custom order.
Do your holsters meet IDPA regulations?
All of our belt holsters meet IDPA regulations, but our shoulder holsters do not.
Are your leather sheaths lined with Kydex?
To put in bluntly, if your leather sheath does what it's supposed to do, you shouldn't need to put a different sheath inside of it. Our leather sheaths function very well being made out of leather, and our kydex sheaths work very well without a leather lining.
Does the knife come with the sheath?
No. Each item is for the sheath/scabbard/holster itself, no knives, swords, or guns are included with any purchase.
