This is a leather sleeve for either the 85 or 87 balisong from Benchmade. The slip is great for keeping your balisong (and you) safe while it's in your pocket.
Each standard sleeve is made of 3-4 ounce napa cowhide, or 2-3 ounce crocodile patterned veg tan cowhide. Our natural, crocodile patterned and Herman Oak leathers are a bit less supple than the napa leathers, so we use a 2-3 ounce leather instead of 4-5 ounce to keep them pliable. This does not effect the strength or longevity of the slip.
You also have the option of higher end leathers including Hermann Oak bridle leather, Horween Chromexel, and Horween Dublin
Currently, the options for stitching colors are: Black, Brown, White, Hot Pink, Light Pink, Yellow, Green, Red, Blue, Orange, Purple, and Gray. Let me know in the order notes what color stitching you would like, otherwise the sheath will be stitched in a color that matches the leather.

Why so expensive?
Our items are all made by hand. We do not mass produce anything, and every item has been designed, tested, and created by us. A lot of time and effort has gone into every item we offer, and we do our best to make sure that everything that leaves our shop lives up to our standards and hopefully yours.
Can you make a sheath for a knife other than the ones offered here?
We only offer a few different sheath options, but we operate out of a large brick & mortar cutlery store, so there's a chance we have the knife you're looking for. Contact us to set up a custom order.
Do your holsters meet IDPA regulations?
All of our belt holsters meet IDPA regulations, but our shoulder holsters do not.
Are your leather sheaths lined with Kydex?
To put in bluntly, if your leather sheath does what it's supposed to do, you shouldn't need to put a different sheath inside of it. Our leather sheaths function very well being made out of leather, and our kydex sheaths work very well without a leather lining.
Does the knife come with the sheath?
No. Each item is for the sheath/scabbard/holster itself, no knives, swords, or guns are included with any purchase.

I purchased a sheath back in 2017 for my Benchmade 32 and LOVED it. No metal clip to scratch up my belts. I even use it to carry any other knife that fits in it, it’s that darn great. So it was pretty disappointing this pocket slip didn’t work out. It was much thinner than I was expecting. I saw some balisong sheaths in Horween Shell Cordovan by this craftsman and anticipated the Horween Dublin would be of similar thickness…it was not. Stitching was excellent. Seller was very easy to deal with in regards to a return. I had requested no logos and the slip did come with a logo. I am fully confident that if that had been the only dealbreaker, I would have been accommodated with an exchange.
