This is a handmade leather sheath for the Benchmade bushcrafter.
It differs from my other bushcrafter sheaths in that it is a simple vertical belt sheath, with no dangler or lanyard hole which many bushcraft style sheaths include.
You do have the option of adding a loop for a firesteel, please specify whether you'd like one when you pick which side your sheath will be carried on.
Each sheath is handmade of 8-10 ounce latigo cowhide, unless the natural color is chosen, in which case 8-10 ounce vegetable tanned cowhide will be used.
We offer both silver and black snaps. Let us know in the order notes when ordering what color you would like. If you do not note your preference we will give you the snap that bests suits the color of your sheath (black with black, silver with brown etc.)

Why so expensive?
Our items are all made by hand. We do not mass produce anything, and every item has been designed, tested, and created by us. A lot of time and effort has gone into every item we offer, and we do our best to make sure that everything that leaves our shop lives up to our standards and hopefully yours.
Can you make a sheath for a knife other than the ones offered here?
We only offer a few different sheath options, but we operate out of a large brick & mortar cutlery store, so there's a chance we have the knife you're looking for. Contact us to set up a custom order.
Do your holsters meet IDPA regulations?
All of our belt holsters meet IDPA regulations, but our shoulder holsters do not.
Are your leather sheaths lined with Kydex?
To put in bluntly, if your leather sheath does what it's supposed to do, you shouldn't need to put a different sheath inside of it. Our leather sheaths function very well being made out of leather, and our kydex sheaths work very well without a leather lining.
Does the knife come with the sheath?
No. Each item is for the sheath/scabbard/holster itself, no knives, swords, or guns are included with any purchase.

It definitely took a bit longer than expected to arrive but I’m sure that they are just busy since the holiday season is upon us. Other than that I’m blown away with the superior craftsmanship and quality of this sheath. I went with the Burgundy to match the red stripe in the handle and it looks amazing. Benchmade should take some notes because THIS is how you make a sheath. My 162 looks great in its new home and the fit is super snug and exactly what I wanted and needed. I’ll be using Grommets for all my leather working from here on out. 10 out of 10 would buy again.
