This listing is for a set of lower arm armor, called "Vambraces"
These vambraces are inspired by the ones worn by Legolas in the lord of the rings films, and provide full arm coverage for both sword fighting and archery.
The wrists on these vambraces are contoured to overlap the top of the hand slightly, making them slightly more comfortable and less likely to slide down the arm. For a straight-cut wrist, check out our "greenwood" vambraces.
Each vambrace is made out of 8 - 10 ounce latigo cowhide.
They are closed via two buckled straps, and can be impregnated with wax to make them much tougher, which makes them legal armor for heavy combat in many martial arts groups.
The wax impregnation does darken the leather, so bear that in mind when ordering. As an example, the burgundy vambraces in the photos are the same pair, before and after being waxed.
When ordering, include a measurement of the length of your arm from your wrist to your elbow, as well as the circumference of your arm at both ends of the length measurement.
Note* If measurements are given the goal will be to have the edges of the vambraces meet flush around your arm. If you would like them to overlap, or are planning on wearing padding underneath, be sure to factor that into your measurements.

Why so expensive?
Our items are all made by hand. We do not mass produce anything, and every item has been designed, tested, and created by us. A lot of time and effort has gone into every item we offer, and we do our best to make sure that everything that leaves our shop lives up to our standards and hopefully yours.
Can you make a sheath for a knife other than the ones offered here?
We only offer a few different sheath options, but we operate out of a large brick & mortar cutlery store, so there's a chance we have the knife you're looking for. Contact us to set up a custom order.
Do your holsters meet IDPA regulations?
All of our belt holsters meet IDPA regulations, but our shoulder holsters do not.
Are your leather sheaths lined with Kydex?
To put in bluntly, if your leather sheath does what it's supposed to do, you shouldn't need to put a different sheath inside of it. Our leather sheaths function very well being made out of leather, and our kydex sheaths work very well without a leather lining.
Does the knife come with the sheath?
No. Each item is for the sheath/scabbard/holster itself, no knives, swords, or guns are included with any purchase.
