This is a heavy duty (0.93) kydex sheath for the Benchmade 162 and 162-1 Bushcrafter series knives.
The sheath is an improvement over the thin kydex sheath that comes stock from Benchmade. It is available in a variety of colors. This listing features scout strap suspension, which allows you to carry the knife horizontally on the belt. The scout style sheath does not have a retention strap, however; there is a thumb groove to assist in drawing the knife and a drain hole in the bottom to prevent fluid buildup.
Generally speaking, the Black and OD colored kydex will come with black leather for the loop, and the two brown colors will come with brown leather. For non-Standard kydex and leather colors, check out our Kydex/leather color listing for the option to upgrade.
We now offer coated webbing for the scout straps. Your color options are: Matte Black, Shiny Black, OD Green, Tan, Coyote Tan, Safety Orange, Safety Yellow, Toxic Green.
We offer both silver and black snaps. Let us know in the order notes when ordering what color you would like. If you do not note your preference we will give you the snap that bests suits the color of your sheath (black with black, silver with brown etc.)

Why so expensive?
Our items are all made by hand. We do not mass produce anything, and every item has been designed, tested, and created by us. Can you make a sheath for a knife other than the ones offered here?
We only offer a few different sheath options, but we operate out of a large brick & mortar cutlery store, so there's a chance we have the knife you're looking for. Contact us to set up a custom order.
Do your holsters meet IDPA regulations?
All of our belt holsters meet IDPA regulations, but our shoulder holsters do not.
Are your leather sheaths lined with Kydex?
To put in bluntly, if your leather sheath does what it's supposed to do, you shouldn't need to put a different sheath inside of it. Our leather sheaths function very well being made out of leather, and our kydex sheaths work very well without a leather lining.
Does the knife come with the sheath?
No. Each item is for the sheath/scabbard/holster itself, no knives, swords, or guns are included with any purchase.

This is a fantastic sheath. It fits perfectly. I did a bunch of research and all sheath makers say the made to order sheaths for Kydex are the best way to go. This made me forget about the original OEM leather sheath, not that the OEM is bad but this just feels made for the knife. Recommended.

I received my scout sheath faster than expected. It looks sharp. The kydex combined with the leather straps gives it modern function with a rustic look. My Bushcrafter fits perfectly. A bit tight at first as expected but it's loosened to a good fit.
